Scarface Delivers Epic, Career-Spanning 'Tiny Desk' Concert

As NPR readies to wrap its stacked year of Tiny Desk concerts, which saw the likes of Fred again.., Action Bronson, Post Malone, Sampha and Chloë, the legendary Scarface hit the NPR Music headquarters to deliver quite a career-spanning performance. The Geto Boys‘ rapper didn’t come empty-handed, bringing his guitar, a full band, and longtime collaborator Mike Dean.

Scarface runs through his extensive discography, opening with the classic solo cut”On My Block” and closing out with Geto Boys’ “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.” ”There’s calculated intent behind every word and note of this 30-minute set and I learned that his love for golf also runs deep during our initial meeting,” NPR‘s Bobby Carter writes.
